Parker: Parker had a very unique presentation. His filmmaker has been different compared to all others to date since he works in more mainstream media, such as music videos, yet is able to convey experimental elements throughout his work. Parker formatted his presentation in a visually appealing way where we could watch different clips from the filmmakers work catalog and organized the presentation in a way that was easy on the eyes. He was passionate when talking about his filmmaker and made it clear that he appreciated his work. Overall it was a very well executed presentation.
Maddy: Maddy also had a very unique presentation, but for a few more different reasons. Her filmmaker worked in a unique method where she made all of her work using cutout animation, which allowed her to also have a side career making album artwork. Her presentation was set up with interesting hyperlinks that showed us to her filmmakers different clips, which I thought was a unique job. Maddy did a great job discussing her filmmaker and the work she has accomplished, but it felt a bit slower than other presenters before her. Despite this, she did a great job leading an interesting presentation.
I am a filmmaker located in Wilmington, North Carolina. Experimental filmmaking is one of my favorite forms of filmmaking since you have complete creative control over your work. I want to make people think and view the world in a new and different way, not force them to listen to what I have to say. Welcome to my blog, and feel free to bring me some extra skittles, I need them because food is expensive.
